Week 8 & 9

I have just completed weeks 8 & 9, I had to catch up!!!! Both of this tool could be very useful for Libraries. They could be used in-house to keep staff informed or they could be used as a tool for keep patrons up-to-date and also to involve them in the library and its activities. I feel that podcast could be particularly useful for regional libraries, as those patrons who live a long distance from their library could be more easily involved in the activities the library may be holding for example Author visits or other talks. A rural patron would be able to watch or listen to the event that they may not otherwise have access to!

Week 7

I have set a a del.icio.us account and had a little play around. It is a good idea and could be put to good use in a library setting, for staff and patrons. I have done the tour of Library Thing but did not join up. I will leave that for another day...as it may be a little additive!!!

Forgot to add the link to my del.icio.us account before, so here it is now:

YouTube

I have just been looking around YouTube. It can be alot of fun, however it could also be very useful for libraries, especially rural library who can use it to reach more people who live a long distance from the library. I am now going to attempt to add a video into me blog! Fingers crossed

I really enjoyed this exercised. I also managed to find my sister's blog, she is a photographer and had just post the photos she took of my bestie wedding! However I best get back to looking for library blogs!!!

My first post

Hi All,

I have just set up my blog as part of the learning 2.0 course. I found it surprisingly easy to do. Once I have mastered my own blog, I am looking forward to check out some other blogs from people who are also doing this course.
